What if a Krav Maga student is learning the system to use for wrong reasons?

Is it possible that someone who is learning Krav Maga is learning it to know what they could be facing when they're robbing someone? What if the guy's just there so he knows what to expect in the case that someone tries to retaliate during a robbery he's commiting? Of course I pray this doesn't happen, but we all know it could. What do you think?
