Did your baby/ toddler go through a "growling" phase?

My son is 13 months old. Lately he growls all the time. He kinda sounds like a little monster. At this moment he is in his crib, growling himself to sleep...I guess. I don't know how he hasn't gotten a raw throat by now. Did your youngster do this?
