Does this sound interesting?

Tef looked over the ridge her eyes fell on the civilization below. What once must of resembled a great city now was nothing more than a ruin. Destroyed by time and worn away by the elements. The great walls were old and cracked; they were practically crumbling before her. She looked where the outer wall had fallen in and revealed dull, dark stones. They intrigued Tef as they were strangely familiar and seemed to change in the light. Curious she ran carefully down the steep slope, avoiding the deep holes made by the rabbits. She tripped over a large boulder and knocked her weak ankle. She cursed and hopped unladylike towards a clump of trees. She grabbed onto the nearest tree and sat down; maging her swollen ankle. She reached the bottom and hobbled towards the strange wall. As she reached out and touched one of the small stones. It seemed to light up with an inner glow. The black stone was undergoing a major change; its dull surface became bright and translucent.
