How do i get Fixodent denture adheshive out of clothes? and gum?

i washed a small towl i use to take the stuff off my gums with other stuff in the wash( unknowingly ) & now the Fixodent is on shirts, etc; Is there a way to get the adhesive off the clothes safely without ruining it?
