I'm thinking of buying a 5th gen ipod. I have all my cds ripped to wav files. ?

With my sansa I just dragged and dropped the files from my pc (windows xp) to the mp3 player. Will the process be similar with the ipod? Will I have to rip my cds again to a special wav format for ipods? Thanks in advance for your consideration:)
