Should the British Army become more traditional?

Whilst much of the traditional clothing is still worn at a ceremonial level, I believe that there is no gain in imitating the American style either, we could just as easily integrate our clothing of the glory days with our modern technology; and thus make us a bit more proud of our armed forces.
